About Me

My name is Katelyn Lamb and I am an interior design student at North Dakota State University on track to graduate in May of 2024.

I am from a small town called Scobey, Montana where I learned about the importance of being involved in a community. My parents are Maria and Bradley Lamb and they are my biggest supporters! I have one younger sister named Karys (car-iss), one younger Brother named Torsten (tors-tin), one loveable golden retriever named Lucy and a three black cats named Poe, Stormi (or blue) and Shadow (or purple) that I love dearly!

Outside of designing, I love to are spend time with family and friends, traveling, photography, reading, staying active, being crafty with my hands, movies/television and food. Building relationships, conversations and being a friend when I can are important value's I cherish. If there is one thing you should know about me, it is that I am always excited for new opportunities and experiences!

When I found the NDSU Interior Design Program, I was drawn to its complexity and innovation. I learned to love collaboration and problem solving individually or in groups. Creating designs that focus on functionality, sustainability and wellness are the fundamentals that I focus on while also meeting the clients needs. Interior Design is a like a giant puzzle and when all of the pieces come together, it becomes a beautiful work of art!
